Welcome

Hello! My name is Camille Oriti, and I am a current 4th-year student at San Diego State University. I am pursuing a major in Journalism, with a minor in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. I am also in the process of obtaining my Certificate of Public Law. I am from Austin, TX, and love all things music and movies, as well as writing, watching new TV shows, going to the beach, and being around friends and family. I am currently a part of KCR- San Diego State's student-run radio, where I have a radio show and podcast, which is something I love being a part of. During my time in JMS 430, I hope to learn about digital ethics, research methods, digital tools, and interview techniques. I also hope to learn more about the process of distributing and creating news online. My career aspirations include working in production/promotion for a major media organization, or doing investigative journalism work for a news company or nonprofit. I am passionate about working in the creative field, particularly the entertainment industry, but I am open to multiple industries and fields within the world of media. I am excited to continue learning and growing in my career in journalism.
